{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, and his accompanying delegation concluded today, Wednesday, their official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, which lasted for two days.
The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement received by {Al Furat News} that “the visit witnessed holding talks between the Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hassan Rouhani, in which the two sides affirmed their desire to strengthen the bonds of economic and cultural relations between the two countries. The fight against terrorism and health cooperation in the face of the Corona pandemic, as well as continued cooperation to support the security and stability of the region. ”
The Prime Minister met with the leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Mr. Ali Khamenei.
The Iraqi delegations headed by the Prime Minister and the Iranian headed by the First Vice-President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Yitzhak Jahangiri, held an expanded meeting on activating cooperation agreements between the two countries, ways of overcoming obstacles and overcoming problems that might hinder the progress of joint cooperation.
Al-Kazemi and his accompanying delegation also met with the head of the Iranian Shura Council, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, where bilateral efforts were discussed in overcoming the health and economic effects of the Corona pandemic, and the challenges posed by the current economic crisis, as well as bilateral efforts to overcome them in a way that serves the interests of the Iraqi and Iranian people.
