Turkmen politician Abbas Al-Agha confirmed, on Wednesday, that the Food Security Law cannot be legislated even if it was submitted by the Parliament’s Finance Committee.
Al-Agha said in an interview with the “Information” agency that “the Federal Court prevented the disbursement of funds from the current government, because it is a caretaker government and cannot manipulate the country’s financial capabilities.”
He added that “whoever wants to pass the Food Security Law despite the cancellation of the copy submitted by the government by the Federal Court, is challenging the Iraqi judiciary’s decision and transgressing the law, and this is absolutely not possible.”
Earlier, the Federal Court issued a decision to cancel the Food Security Law, after a lawsuit filed by the independent representative, Basem Khashan. End / 25 A
