The leader of the United Anbar Alliance, Abdul Wahab Al-Bilawi, confirmed on Monday that the phase of the expelled Parliament Speaker, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, from the political scene is nearing the end, adding that the latter did not reach what he is except by using political money and power.
Al-Bilawi said in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, “The symbolism he achieved did not come from the people’s acceptance as much as from exploiting the position and exclusivity in making decisions,” pointing out that “Al-Halbousi made use of the security services in Anbar Governorate to arrest all his critics or opponents in accordance with the principle of liquidation that he adopted.” .
He continued, “The previous government allowed Al-Halbousi to violate the law and help build political influence in order to control Anbar Governorate completely,” noting that “the stage of the end of the role of expelled Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi from the political scene is very close.”
Al-Bilawi added: “There are a large number of Al-Halbousi’s followers in the Taqadum Party who are involved in huge thefts, most notably Al-Wafa lands and the theft of compensation for the martyrs and wounded, which the Public Integrity Commission is continuing to investigate,” noting that “Al-Halbousi did not reach where he is now except by using… Political money and power for his own interests.”
Earlier today, the leader of the United Anbar Alliance, Dhari Al-Dulaimi, considered the decision to terminate the assignment of 83 advisors appointed by Al-Halbousi in Anbar Governorate to have ended his arms controlling the governorate’s capabilities.
The violations of the Taqadum Party, led by Al-Halbousi, continue in many files, especially with the elections, by harnessing government service institutions such as water and electricity to promote and publicize the influential Taqadum Party in Anbar, as well as following the policy of liquidating opponents with all those who disagree with it.
