Political analyst Ibrahim Al-Sarraj said that the emergency support project is a tribute to the Sovereignty Alliance and the Kurdistan Democratic Party, while stressing that the law will grant the two parties huge sums at the expense of the wealth of the southern and central governorates.
Al-Sarraj said in an interview with “Information”, “The summary of the emergency support law and the insistence of the House of Representatives to pass it is a tribute to the Triple Alliance, especially the sovereignty and the Kurdistan Democratic Party, through the paragraphs in the law, which stipulate the allocation of huge sums to the liberated governorates and the Kurdistan region.”
He added, “The law grants Al-Halbousi and Barzani huge funds at the expense of the south and the wealth of its provinces, which suffer from marginalization, exclusion and disruption of projects and infrastructure,” stressing that “the approval of the project will be tantamount to depriving southern and central Iraq of its wealth.”
The political analyst explained that “the emergency support law carries with it a lot of large corruption files and financial allocations that confirm that they loot the people’s money under legal formulas, and it may be a tribute to political parties and the alliance of sovereignty and democracy at the expense of the wealth of the Iraqi people.”
