The Parliamentary Legal Committee revealed, on Thursday, the lack of a political agreement to pass the attachment related to the electoral law, while it showed that Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi violated the constitution by setting the date of the elections.
Committee member Salim Hamzah said in a statement, “The political dispute over the issue of the election law relating to the multiple constituencies has not been resolved yet, and there is no seriousness to agree on a specific mechanism.”

He added that “the parliament will not discuss the election law until next September, as it is in a legislative holiday,” noting that “Al-Kazemi violated the constitution by setting the date of the elections without consulting the president.”

Yesterday, Wednesday, the deputy for the Alliance of Riyad Muhammad, affirmed that 90% of the political blocs are unwilling to hold early elections, while the appointment of the elections by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi is an attempt to persuade the street only.
