{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The Parliamentary Finance Committee responded, on Thursday evening, to the statement of Prime Minister Ahmed Mulla Talal’s spokesman, regarding linking the distribution of employees’ salaries to the House of Representatives vote on the fiscal deficit law.
A member of the committee, Ahmed Al-Hajj, told Al-Furat News that “Mulla Talal’s statement expresses the bankruptcy of the current government or is intended to create a crisis between the parliament and the government.”
He added, “With this statement, Mulla Talal wants to cover up the government’s failure to secure the salaries of employees,” wondering, “Where are the oil revenues, outlets revenues, taxes, etc., and the money of the previous loan?”
The spokesman for the Prime Minister, Ahmed Mulla Talal, confirmed in a press statement that it is not possible to cover the salaries of employees without borrowing, indicating that in the event that Parliament does not approve the law of covering the financial deficit, salaries cannot be paid to employees.
