Parliamentary accusations against Baghdad and Erbil of “fabricating” the financial crisis in Iraq

On Wednesday, a member of the Parliamentary Economic Committee, Representative Intisar Al-Mousawi, accused Baghdad and Erbil of fabricating the financial crisis in Iraq .
Moussawi said that “the financial crisis in Iraq is fabricated and came as a result of the cooperation of the central government with the Kurdistan region in disbursing large sums of money for the latter,” noting that “these sums are the ones that created the current financial crisis .”
She added, “The government does not listen to advice,” stressing that “the financial crisis has caused the suspension of more than 6 thousand service projects so far, according to the recent assurances of the Ministry of Planning .”
Moussawi indicated that “the best solution to the crisis in the country is investment, if it is applied in real terms, it will generate large sums of money and reduce our dependence on oil.”
