The Parliamentary Economy and Investment Committee revealed on Friday that the revenues of the financial border outlets will rise to a quarter of the value of the country’s annual financial budget in the event that the state controls the borders completely.
Committee member Nada Shaker Jawdat said that “the security forces landed at the border outlets by order of the Prime Minister to control the border outlets and Iraqi ports,” noting that “the House of Representatives is following government measures to control the outlets.”
She added that “the government’s control over the outlets will become clear in the coming months and not in a short period,” noting that “in the event that the government controls the outlets completely through the import of materials, goods and financial revenues, it will be estimated at 25% of the size of the general budget.”
The Parliamentary Finance Committee revealed last Monday, through a member of the committee, Jamal Kojour, in an interview with Shafak News that “corruption in the border crossings is very large and reaches 90%, where we do not get more than a billion dollars”, noting that “11 billion in The least goes to the pockets of the corrupt. ”
On July 25, the Joint Operations Command of the Iraqi Army announced the allocation of security forces to ten land and four naval outlets, and confirmed that all of those outlets are now protected by those forces.
