The Alliance of Saireon affirmed its continued support for the nomination of an independent, impartial and non-controversial figure for the premiership.
The deputy, Ali Saeroun Al-Ghawi, expressed his “astonishment at offering names that had previously been rejected to the prime minister,” stressing “the need for the blocs to move away from those names because they were rejected by the people.”
Al-Ghawi stressed the importance of choosing an independent and fair candidate to get out of the current crisis, stressing “the importance of political accommodation in choosing an acceptable and non-controversial figure,” noting that “the Alliance of Walkers will support any personality that meets these specifications.”
He pointed out that “the former Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Allawi was well accepted among the blocs and therefore his apology for assignment was early, which caused greater complications for the current political scene especially at a time when the country suffers from several challenges such as the spread of corona and financial and economic problems.
Al-Ghawi denied:” The presence of any discussions between the President of the Republic and the Alliance of Walkers on the selection of the candidate for prime minister, “stressing that the position of the Walkers is consistent by choosing a personality that meets the conditions of professionalism and independence.”
