(Baghdad: al-Furat News) revealed members of the House of Representatives, on Tuesday, the fact that the parliament held its meetings in Ramadan at night.
MP Abdullah al-Kharbit told the {Euphrates News} that “the sessions of the House of Representatives is going on as it is and there is no presence to hold it at night during Ramadan.”
He added that “Parliament is obliged to hold eight sessions a month and therefore, according to the view of the deputies that these meetings at a close time to devote the end of the holy month to work from within the provinces and communicate with the areas of deputies directly.”
For his part, MP Raed Fahmi told the {Euphrates News}, that “we have not received any book regarding the convening of meetings of the House of Representatives in Ramadan at night.” is over
