(Baghdad: Al Furat News) The MP of the Kurdistan Islamic Union bloc, Muthanna Amin, revealed, today, Thursday, the commitment of Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi to the share of the Kurdish component in the upcoming cabinet.
Amin said in a press statement that “a meeting gathered a number of representatives of the Kurdish blocs with the Prime Minister to talk about the upcoming ministerial formation,” noting that “Allawi pledged to abide by the share of the Kurdish component of not less than 3 ministries in his government on the condition of commitment to efficiency, integrity and independence.”
“In the event that Allawi does not observe the views of the political blocs, the cabinet will not be passed in the House of Representatives.”
With regard to the Kurdish blocs proposing some names to assume ministerial positions, Representative Amin said that “the Kurdish blocs are divided into 3 sections, which are the deputies of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the deputies of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, and the third section represents the recombinant Kurdish parties, which constitute 15 deputies.”
He indicated that “the coalition parties to which the spokesman belongs did not give any name to the Prime Minister-designate, but he asked him that the cabinet cabinet be independent and offered him help to nominate some of the Kurdish independent names if he wanted to.”
Amin ruled out “voting on the ministerial cabinet next Sunday,” noting that “the ministerial formation needs more time and negotiations to pass in the parliament.”
The head of the Bayraq al-Khair Parliamentary Bloc, Muhammad Othman Al-Khaldi, revealed that the prime minister-designate, Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, would soon complete his cabinet.
Al-Khalidi said, in a press statement, that “the government cabinet of Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi has been completed,” noting that “Allawi will be announced officially next Sunday.”
Al-Khalidi said, “Allawi will inform the President of the Republic and the resigned Prime Minister and ask Parliament to hold an emergency session for the purpose of voting on the ministerial cabinet.” is over
