Industry reveals a tendency to open up to the private sector

[Baghdad-Where] The
Ministry of Industry and Minerals revealed, on Saturday, a tendency to open up to the private sector to revive the local industry.
“The Ministry of Industry has a serious plan and vision to reorganize and develop its industrial companies,” said the ministry’s spokesman, Mortada Al-Safi.
He added, “There are short, medium and long-term plans to rehabilitate and operate the stalled factories and laboratories throughout the country, to employ the workforce and provide new products, either with personal capabilities or through the conclusion of partnership and investment contracts with local, Arab and foreign private sector companies.”
Al-Safi pointed out that “the ministry has a special and serious tendency to open up to the private sector and make it a strategic partner to benefit from its capabilities in activating and reviving the Iraqi industry.”
