Deputy Burhan Al-Maamouri on Saturday ruled out passing the government of Prime Minister-designate Adnan Al-Zarfi in the House of Representatives, attributing the matter to the continued refusal to pass it from most political forces.
Al-Maamouri said in a press statement, “Al-Zrafi is still facing opposition from the Al-Fateh Alliance and the rule of law and wisdom, and these forces are influential within the House of Representatives.”
He added that “the names in circulation as a substitute for al-Zarfi did not obtain a political consensus and could be prepared in the event of al-Zarrafi’s refusal or withdrawal from the assignment,” noting that “al-Zarfi has no intention of withdrawing or apologizing and will continue the process of forming the government.”
