Between the deputy of the Al-Fateh coalition, Karim Alioui, said on Sunday that the Kurds and Sunnis are seeking a prime minister who will keep the American forces inside Iraq, pointing out that Washington seeks that the position of the Kurds and Sunnis is to dominate the selection of the new prime minister.
Aliwi said that “the Sunni and Kurdish political blocs welcome the presence of the American forces inside Iraq, while the Shiite blocs refuse the presence of these forces and seek a Prime Minister implementing the parliament’s decision to remove all foreign forces.”
He added, “The efforts of the Kurds and Sunnis to keep the American forces in Iraq represent a shameful endeavor, because the decision was taken by a clear majority in Parliament, and they must declare a clear position towards removing the American forces, and the Shiites took their position on the presence of these forces.”
And that “the Sunnis and the Kurds want a prime minister who maintains the presence of the American forces inside Iraq, whereby this approach came in agreement with the American side, so Washington seeks that the position of the Kurds and Sunnis is to dominate the selection of the new prime minister in order to keep the aforementioned forces inside Iraq.”
