MP Al-Fateh Alli Al-Haboubi warned, on Monday, of the appointment of Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Allawi in the same mistake that resigned Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, stressing that the presentation of an incomplete ministerial cabinet will not gain the confidence of Parliament.
Al Haboubi said in a press statement, “The members of the House of Representatives did not receive a notification from the Presidency to hold an extraordinary session regarding preparing to vote on the new cabinet.”
She added that “the House of Representatives will abstain from voting if an incomplete ministerial cabinet is presented to avoid the mistake made by the resigned prime minister.”
Al-Haboubi indicated that “Iraq is passing through a very critical stage, and there are those who wait with a difference of patience to complete the new cabinet formation to vote on it as soon as possible.”
