Al-Musawi said, in a press statement I followed (Baghdad today) that “Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi began forty-five days ago to search for his ministerial staff after his name was proposed by the Alliance and others and opened as a candidate to head the government to succeed the resigned Adel Abdul Mahdi,” adding that ” His options for ministers will be far from the dictates of political blocs and parties. ”
Mousawi, who is a deputy for the Turkmen component, said that “a group of Turkmen representatives met the candidate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi a week before his assignment to form the government in the capital Baghdad, and there was talk of marginalizing the Turkmen in the government of Abdul-Mahdi,” pointing out that Allawi assured them that he is looking at the Iraqis with a view One.
He added, “Allawi pledged in his meeting with the Turkmen component to nominate independent ministers and professionals away from parties, blocs and components,” ruling out that “the candidate depends on forming a government to launch an electronic window for the selection of his ministers.”
He suggested that “the government of Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi will set the end of this year as the date for the early parliamentary elections, in implementation of the demands of the demonstrators.”
