BAGHDAD: The Council of Ministers held its regular session, on Tuesday, chaired by Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi.
The Prime Minister briefed the latest developments in the country and stressed the need to maintain security and stability and the peaceful demonstrations and the interests of citizens.
The Council of Ministers discussed issues prepared for its agenda, and issued a number of resolutions, where the Council voted on the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Municipalities to include the project of surveying and sorting residential land to carry out a transfer of allocations for 2019.
The Council also decided to reduce customs duties imposed on hybrid cars by 100% for the first year In order for the competent company to reduce the prices of hybrid cars to stimulate the citizen selective because of its significant economic and environmental benefits.
The report of the Commission for determining the number of affected areas and a treatment mechanism composed of the Ministry of Planning was approved.
It was approved to allocate a piece of land from the municipality of Nimrod to the monastery of St. Behnam martyr in the province of Nineveh in an exception to the decision of the Council of Ministers No. (239) for the year 2013 in order to expand the monastery for its historical importance.
