(Baghdad: Al Furat News) The Ministry of Communications, cutting off the Internet service to the popular demonstrations angry in several Iraqi provinces since July 8 because of poor services and unemployment.

Al-Rashed attributed these decisions to “the use of those sites badly during the demonstrations.” He added that the government had taken decisions including blocking some of the main websites on the Internet, which was used badly and through which aroused the emotions of the public and the publication of video clips, he said.
He added that “the Ministry of Communications is to have an international force gates and can control the online service and identify sites that are offensive to the state or to the Iraqi public , ” pointing out that the ministry and after discussing them with relevant and security agencies will take the decision to lift the ban on the sites and the appropriate timing for it. ”
The The government stopped the Internet service in most provinces coinciding with the start of protests two weeks ago, and then partially restored the service, and banned some social networking sites for periods.
