Al-Kazemi said during a joint press conference with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani after their meeting in Tehran today, “My visit today confirms the importance of the historical ties that link Iraq and Iran. He added, “We discussed the conditions of the region and how to establish peace, especially in light of the challenges of Corona,” stressing that “the Iraqi people are loving and eager for relations with Iran according to the principle of non-interference in internal affairs.”

Rouhani added: “We announce our readiness to exchange views between health officials in Iran and Iraq.”
