Today, Saturday, Speaker of Parliament Muhammad Al-Halbousi discussed with US Ambassador to Iraq Matthew Toller the issue of forming a strong new government.
And his media office said in a statement received [Wayne] that “the Speaker of the House of Representatives received the US ambassador to Iraq,” noting that “the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, ways to support Iraq, and enhance cooperation in the security and economic fields.”
The two sides discussed, according to the statement, the file of forming a strong new government that puts a clear vision to implement the reform steps, and be able to meet the needs of the Iraqi people, as well as the file of the upcoming elections and create the appropriate conditions for their conduct.
