Shafaq News/ Shafaq News Agency obtained, on Sunday, the draft federal budget law for the year 2023, after its last amendment was made by the Parliamentary Finance Committee.
The last text of the budget included an amendment made by the Parliamentary Finance Committee related to the Kurdistan Region, which sparked controversy, as the Kurdistan Democratic Party believes that the amendment “contradicts previous agreements” between the Federal Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, the President of the Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani, and the President of the Regional Government, Masrour Barzani.
According to the text of the budget, which was seen by Shafaq News agency, the financial revenues for this year are estimated at 134 trillion, 552 billion, 919 million and 63 thousand Iraqi dinars, by calculating revenues from exporting crude oil at a price of $70 per barrel and a daily export rate of three million and 500 thousand barrels and 400 One thousand barrels per day of the region’s oil exports, at an exchange rate of 1,300 dinars per dollar.
While expenditures amount to 198 trillion and 910 billion and 343 million and 590 thousand dinars, i.e. a financial deficit of about 64 trillion dinars.
