{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The Parliamentary Integrity Committee revealed an official deliberately disable the optical cable project for $ 3 million.
“The Parliamentary Integrity Committee intends to open all the files of the Iraqi state from 2003 to the present day, and the work will be great and there will be involvement of officials and parties, but we will work to uncover all of them,” committee member Kazem al-Sayadi told AFP.
He pointed out that “the issue of disabling the optical cable hides a large corruption file worth 3 million dollars received by a senior official to disable the file,” adding that “this file will have a high priority as a person and places of corruption and points in it.”
He added that “the committee addressed all the priorities of the project to proceed with the investigation process,” noting that “the investigation will include the Integrity Commission in the last session of its work on the project and what procedures, as well as recommendations to remove the Office of the Inspector General in the Ministry of Communications.”
He pointed out that “both the Integrity Commission and the Prosecutor General and the Parliamentary Services Committee in the previous session will be asked about their role in this project,” stressing that “this time will not be limited to work on news or report or subject to that we will punish all the executive bodies and oversight.”
