The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee confirmed that there is an agreement on the withdrawal of international coalition forces from Iraq according to specific time frames agreed upon between the Iraqi delegation and the international coalition, noting that the agreement is still in place and has not changed.
Committee member MP Ali Nema said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, “The file of ending the presence of the international coalition on Iraqi territory is still in place, according to what was agreed upon between Iraq and this coalition according to the specified time frames.”
He added that “Iraq and the international coalition agreed on the withdrawal of the remaining forces affiliated with this coalition, led by the United States, by the end of this year, according to what was announced in the agreements between the negotiating delegations on this matter.”
He explained that “the issue has not changed or developed, and the agreement is still in effect to withdraw the coalition forces within the agreed time frames.”
