Members of the US Congress on Sunday praised the successes achieved by the Iraqi government.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s media office, “Members of the US Congress, during their meeting with Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani in Baghdad, praised the successes they saw achieved by the Iraqi government in development, construction, and reconstruction across various sectors.”
They stressed the importance of the relationship with Iraq as an important partner in the Middle East.
The members of Congress who visited Iraq today were Michael Baumgartner, Republican, and Adam Smith, George Whitesides, Wesley Bell, and Sarah Jacobs, Democrats.
