A deputy excludes the passage of the Food Security Law and identifies the reasonsToday, Saturday, Representative Ahmed Taha Al-Rubaie ruled out passing a draft law on emergency support for food security for several reasons.

Al-Rubaie said in a press interview, “The controversial food security bill in terms of the legal aspect and its contents is still under discussion, and if it is passed, it will be an alternative to the budget law for this year, and this budget will not pass if it is passed.”

He added, “The controversy over the law continues, and the Federal Court may have a position with renewed complaints, given that there is only a change in the address from its predecessor, which was sent from the government and was returned after the Federal Court’s decision that the legislation of laws is not valid by the caretaker government.”

And he indicated, “The draft law from the Finance Committee has been presented and read, but as long as it includes a financial side, it will return to the government and then enter into legal problems because it does not have the authority to legislate laws, as well as to implement it, which requires legal contracts, and it is also not within the authority of the daily caretaker government.” .

Al-Rubaie indicated that “it is unlikely that the law will pass in light of the controversy over it, not to mention the lack of exchange tables that clarify the doors in which the sums are spent, especially since the first article of the law indicated the existence of a schedule of expenses for large amounts of up to 25 trillion dinars that members of Parliament did not even see.” the moment”.
