{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The Senior Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry, Abdul Karim Hashem Mustafa, discussed, on Thursday, with the Australian ambassador in Baghdad, the entry of Australian investors and businessmen to Iraq.
A statement by the ministry stated, “The Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Abdul-Karim Hashem Mustafa, met with Australian Ambassador to Baghdad, Joan Elizabeth Lundis, on the occasion of the end of her duties in Iraq.”
“The two sides discussed the bilateral relations that bind the two countries, and the importance of developing them in a way that serves the interests of the two friendly peoples, and mutual support in international forums and conferences,” he added.
The Senior Undersecretary called for “enhancing the prospects for cooperation in the field of investment and trade exchange between the two countries, through the entry of Australian investors and businessmen to Iraq, and access to investment opportunities.”
He stressed “the importance of cooperation between the Iraqi Ministry of Health and its counterpart in Australia to confront the Corona pandemic, which is reflected in cooperation and support towards this common challenge.”
