Representative Muhammad al-Karbouli, a leader in the Alliance of Forces, said on Wednesday that a step for Kurdish and Sunni blocs ended the attempt to thwart Mustafa al-Kazemi’s government.
Al-Kazemi, the third figure to be assigned by Iraqi President Barham Salih, to form a government on April 9 this 30 days, after his predecessors Adnan al-Zarfi and Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi failed to rally support for them.
Al-Karbouli told Shafaq News that “Sunni and Kurdish political forces authorized Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al-Kazemi to choose cabinet ministers, which led Shiites to follow the same path, which is capable of forcing all forces to give Al-Kazemi the authority to choose his ministers.”
“After the Kurdish-Sunni authorization, the project to thwart the task of the commissioner was thwarted.”
