Members of the Legislative Authority confirmed that the Prime Minister-designate, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, was close to announcing his cabinet, after obtaining the delegation of an important percentage of parties and political forces that stipulated that the chosen ministers enjoy independence, impartiality, competence, and the distribution of ministerial portfolios according to the “components” “As usual, while Deputy Speaker of Parliament Bashir Al-Haddad made it clear that the House of Representatives is awaiting the request of the commissioner to hold a session to give confidence to his government, parliamentarians favored a session this week to vote on the cabinet.
Al-Haddad said in a press conference in Erbil: “Parliament is ready to hold the parliament session to give confidence, but so far there is nothing official,” noting that “the ministerial cabinet assigned to head the government, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, has not been completed yet.”
In turn, MP Alaa Sukkar Al-Delphi affirmed that “most of the blocs authorized Al-Kazemi to choose his ministers from independents and professionals,” noting that “until now, no candidate has been named except for ensuring that ministries are distributed according to the components.”
Delphi added, in an interview with “Al-Sabah”, that “the taxpayer who is still in the stage of writing his government program, will face great difficulties and challenges.” He explained that “the country witnessed two months ago the spread of the Corona epidemic, and there are also challenges related to the economy and early elections and the restoration of citizens’ confidence in the government and the process Politics. ”
For his part, the deputy for the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) bloc, Bashar al-Kiki, said that his party “expedites the formation of the government”, stressing that “the Kurds will be a balance factor to enable the person charged to complete his government formation.”
Al-Kiki added, “The Kurds will support the prime minister-designate not in the government formation but in the government program,” stressing “seeking to build common points of understanding and an acceptable agreement in the areas of security and energy, especially in the disputed areas.”
Al-Kiki pointed out that “the prime minister-designate will not be alone in naming the ministers and will resort to consensus, which is a positive step to accelerate the formation of the
government.”
In the context, Hassan al-Khalati, MP for the al-Hikma Movement, believes that “the conditions available for Prime Minister-designate Mustafa al-Kazemi are better than those that accompanied the path of assigning his predecessors and there is an ideal ground for passing the government,” noting that “the atmosphere is supportive of Al-Kazemi and everyone is convinced that there is no way ahead.” Except the passing of the government due to several
reasons. ”
Khalati added, in a press statement, that “the crises that Iraq has gone through are multiple crises, the most recent of which is the Corona pandemic crisis, in addition to the political tremors that the country went through and what happened during the period of demonstrations and political instability that requires everyone to be responsible, and they are largely removed The issue of adhering to benefits or quotas, “likely one of the days of this week will witness a session to vote on the ministerial cabinet of the

Khallati emphasized that “the political blocs, although they authorized Al-Kazemi to choose the members of his government cabinet, but despite this he needs to mix with the opinions of the political forces and their vision of the shape of the next booth, which is important for forming a strong government capable of managing the files entrusted to it.”
