Deputy Fateh Alliance Fadel Al-Fatlawi confirmed, on Wednesday, that the Sunni political blocs ’refusal to support the government of Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi came because he did not bow to their pressure to pass the partisan candidates within his new cabinet, while the House of Representatives would pass Allawi’s cabin Next Tuesday.
Al-Fatlawi said in a press statement, “The political blocs represented by the Al-Fateh Alliance and other parties and parties will support the Allawi government within the House of Representatives after the Kurdish and Sunni blocs refrained from doing so,” noting that “Allawi did not obtain the support of the Kurdish and Sunni blocs because he did not submit to their pressure to pass party ministers ”
He added that “Allawi did not present a partisan candidate within his cabinet, and this matter has led to the objection of some political blocs to him,” noting that “Allawi will present his ministerial cabinet next Tuesday to give it confidence in the House of Representatives.”
