America announced the development of intelligence efforts to follow up the Iraqi F-16 aircraft[Follow-up]
The former Assistant Secretary of State for Military Affairs, General Mark Kimmitt, revealed on Sunday the existence of American intelligence efforts to monitor Iraqi “F-16″ aircraft after the US withdrawal.
Kimmitt said in televised statements that “there are legitimate US concerns about leaking accurate information about Iraqi” F-16 “aircraft at Balad base.”
He added that “the leak of that very sophisticated information to some countries through the airport of Balad brings a great danger to our country and contributes to the disclosure of accurate intelligence information.”
Kimmitt said, “The United States increased its intelligence control and relied on its allies in the Iraqi forces to prevent approaching aircraft and preventing the diversion of modern technologies.”
