Al-Khalidi said in an interview with (Baghdad Today), that “the political forces agreed among themselves to nominate 5 personalities for the position of the next prime minister, including two people who have more chances than others.” Agree to the main candidates. ”

Al-Khalidi added, “The nomination of the Prime Minister’s nomination will take place this week after the resumption of political consultations.”

The deputy of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Fadel Al-Fatlawi, had revealed, earlier in the day, that the prime minister’s candidate had been decided in the next 48 hours, stressing that he would be satisfied with everyone.

Al-Fatlawi said in an interview with (Baghdad Today), “The political blocs and the presidency of the republic must give the demonstrators a message of reassurance that an independent and non-controversial personality will be named that satisfies the demonstrators in the demonstration squares.” And procrastination. ”

He added, “The time is late, and His Excellency the President of the Republic must present the non-dialectical political personality that satisfies everyone and the demonstrators.”

And he stated, “During the next 48 hours, the prime minister’s file will be decided, and the president will be assigned the appropriate personality,” noting that it “will satisfy all parties, including the demonstrators, in the sit-in square.”

Earlier in the day, member of Parliament Salim Hamza confirmed that the new prime minister will be sworn in before President Barham Salih, if the latter returns to Baghdad.

Hamza said in a statement to the semi-official newspaper, Al-Sabah, that “most of the blocs negotiated between them, and agreed to name (a specific personality) as prime minister during the next stage.”

He added, “The assignment of the Prime Minister and the swearing-in will take place once the President of the Republic returns from his European tour,” expecting that “within less than a month, his government formation will be completed, to begin a new stage of preparation for early elections and services for citizens.”
