Russian media quoted the source, who was not identified, as saying in a press statement today, January 4, 2020, that the plane that was carrying Qasim Soleimani belonged to the Syrian “Wings of the Levant” company, and the Iraqi authorities had no knowledge of the presence of a senior figure Or a mission on that plane.
He added that “the time of the plane’s arrival was at 11:30 pm last Thursday, but it arrived an hour after the due date due to a delay from its take-off place in Syria.”
He explained that “the plane stopped at Gate No. 21 at Baghdad International Airport, and Soleimani did not pass through the official outlets at the airport, but was waiting for him at the plane, two cars, the first type (Starex) and the second (Avillon), and one of them went up and went out before the travelers.”
