The former politician and former MP Hassan Al-Alawi said on Tuesday that the resignation of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi is expected at any moment, indicating that the seriousness of the situation lies in the post-resignation to what is happening.
Al-Alawi said that “Abdul-Mahdi moves between the Marxist, secular and Islamic parties and has extensive experience in dealing with the various existing parties.”
He added that “the personality of Abdul-Mahdi does not need to overthrow demonstrations and agreements,” noting that “the resignation of Abdul-Mahdi is expected at any moment submitted.”
He explained that “what prevents Abdul Mahdi from resigning are the political blocs of the political process,” pointing out that “the seriousness of the situation in Iraq is what will come to things after the resignation of the government.”
