The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced its intention to resort to the UN Security Council, “to address any action that violates the sovereignty of Iraq.”
“The Foreign Ministry will take all necessary diplomatic and legal measures through the United Nations and the UN Security Council and through contacts with brotherly and friendly countries to address any action that violates Iraq’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed al-Sahaf said in a statement received by the agency.
