A US report highlighted the extent of corruption that has gripped state institutions inside Iraq over the past 15 years,
Especially in the field of energy file.
The report, published in The Wall Street Journal, says it is impossible to sign a contract with Iraq without paying bribes to corrupt officials in ministries, specifically in the energy field.
The report, which was published to warn US companies to deal with the energy sector in Iraq and stay away from signing contracts with the energy field inside Iraq, to ensure that these companies are not involved with the corruption bodies expected to be fined in the United States because of laws prohibiting dealing with corrupt parties.
“There is no single contract signed last year, especially in the energy field, without corruption of parties and political parties,” the report said.
Anyone who has been charged with corruption by the people has never been denied.
