A source in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers said that the head of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers Mehdi Alalak went to Kuwait at the official invitation to consult on the $ 2 billion provided by Kuwait in the reconstruction conference of Iraq.
The Amir of Kuwait, Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, announced February 14, 2018, the allocation of one billion dollars of loans to Iraq and another $ 1 billion to invest in accordance with the mechanisms of the Kuwait Fund for Development.
He added that “the visit of the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers Mahdi Alalak came on the official invitation of the Kuwaiti side.”
He pointed out that “the relationship will discuss the conditions that will put Kuwait on the implementation of 2 billion dollars in Iraq and what projects will be spent on them.”
He explained that “17 countries visited Iraq after attending the donors conference held in Kuwait for its contribution in granting loans to Iraq.”
