The leader of a coalition of state law, Nuri al-Maliki, on Friday, that no one has the right to say that Iraq’s budget is empty, while renewed his call to form a government of the political majority.
“Iraq has many resources and its budget is good and sufficient. No one has the right to say that the budget is empty, but it needs a solid will and a government that is capable of providing services to the people,” Maliki said at a rally in Karbala attended by Mawazin News.
He added: “All the cities of the race did not serve the required level for 14 years, because we face terrorism until we won it,” adding that “the next phase is the stage of work and construction and activating the initiatives that we had launched in the past years.”
Maliki renewed his call to “form a government of the political majority as the solution to save the country.”
The Council of Ministers decided to set the current May 12 date for the parliamentary elections
