Chairman of the parliamentary Economic Committee: Iraq becomes the seat of smuggling mafias hard currency

He said al-Alwani to: These mafias have emerged, especially after being hit by Iran and Syria to an international economic blockade and did not find an outlet for Iraq’s poor hard currency.
And between: the security situation is unstable and concern for the politicians in Iraq’s internal conflicts and lack of control over the banking offices facilitated the process of hard currency smuggling to neighboring countries.
He called on al-Alwani: the government, especially the central bank to pass a law limiting the work of non-licensed banking offices and a full control of all offices in all governorates of Iraq.
