9-1-2015 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG Reuters Article “…an Iraqi parliamentary report named Iraq’s former prime minister, Nouri al-Maliki, among dozens of officials responsible for the collapse of security forces and the fall of Mosul to Islamic State militants last summer.” This is MAINSTREAM – Iraqis now hope that Maliki and other officials will stand trial and be held to account for why militants were able to capture the northern city with so little resistance. (Maliki dismissed the parliamentary investigation as “worthless,” and he blamed Mosul’s fall on a conspiracy by Turkish and Kurdish leaders.) they (many Iraqi’s) are hopeful (we should be too…) he will stand trial.
9-1-2015 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG Quote: “…Maliki is poised to lose his ceremonial post as one of Iraq’s three vice presidents under a series of reforms that the current prime minister, Haider al-Abadi, is trying to enact.” Or probably already has “lost his position”…there is NO WAY the WB/IMF will let this get overturned – Abadi will get worldwide support for this… it shows the very character of the struggle going on in Iraq RIGHT NOW. I don’t think Maliki will survive this onslaught…AND I think if anyone can “dethrone” Maliki from in front of the PMU – IT’S SISTANI!! He’s the driving force behind the support Abadi has and is the catalyst for these reforms!!

That is the way to end it… How does this help us? first – with Maliki, Mahmoud and Alak gone – the true obstruction is gone and the door for Monetary and Economic reform (both critical to Iraq’s very survival) is wide open!!

9-1-2015 Intel Guru Hub …they said they wanted to develop the social sections of the economy in the next 4 years this is about right…but for a country like iraq to only see a 50% increase in the next 15 years is a very slow growth with their resources, then they want to have experts come in to help set up the infrastructures for iraq, now how in the world will 1166 to 1 currency entice any growth or any experts to come to iraq to straighten them out. …with out a tradable, non-exotic recognized currency none of this will be accomplished. as far as if it is a economy growth or isx, i am not sure…but to obtain 50% in 15 years with oil, gold, ag, and all the other stuff seems to be very conservative…they need to get off high center and get after it. …the simplistic economy lesson is how much does it take to by a coke. in us dollars we take $1.50, canada 1.70, in mexico 15 pesos, in iraq 100 dinar so the answer is ok go to the bank or store or dairy queen and buy a coke with dinar…nope, wont work, so this is the dilemma for iraq…make your money worth something.

8-31-2015 RUMOR Guru Mnt Goat Dr Shabibi is simply now on a consultant basis and most of his advice is being ignored by the currency proxy governor. We are witnessing bad practices and confusion within the CBI. The acting proxy governor, Alaq, is inexperienced and not knowledgeable as to what action to take during this economic crisis. He is not proactive and can not make policies to combat issues prior to them becoming very severe. We will not see any progress in the direction of the currency reform until he is gone and they can get a suitable experienced person replacement to lead the CBI. Will Dr Shabibi be that person. Many believe (including myself) that he will return. Remember Dr Shabibi is still the “official” acting governor of the CBI just not allowed to sit and manage the CBI currently.
8-31-2015 Newsound/Intel Guru BGG Article quote: “Dozens of people demonstrated on Monday in front of the Supreme Judicial Council building in Baghdad to demand the resignation of President of the Council Medhat al-Mahmoud…” …once Medhat al-Mahmoud is gone – Maliki has ZERO fall back position. It’s really, really bad news for the Shia/thug/hardliners…these protests asking for Medhat’s removal are a big deal – I guess maybe the biggest deal of the day.
8-31-2015 RUMOR Guru Mnt Goat The CBI knows it must make some kind of move in the near future to go international. The pressure is enormous to do something. So again we are seeing many articles published on debates going on about changing the dinar exchange rate. Last week…they were debating the pros and cons of FLOATING the dinar rate and the disparity of the Iraqi dinar to other neighboring countries. So what will they actually do? Iraq simply can not continue to do business and move forward without a realistic currency value. We know if they finally roll out to the international exchanges and then float the currency at a low beginning rate, it will not be long before we see some significant value increase. We will all then be subject to the international market rate at the banks at this point and so we can then go exchange our dinar anytime we wish and at any rate.
8-31-2015 RUMOR Guru Mnt Goat This is my personal theory on what the CBI is ultimately is going to do – I believe they know they must float the value of the IQD and gradually let it rise. They will NOT ATTEMPT to push out a very high rate right (i.e. $3.91) initially due to the money laundering (the current CBI governor has not controlled) and the terrorists activities. The CBI does talk about starting the project to delete the zeros sometime in very early 2016. What will they ultimately do? Again my personal belief is strong that Abadi is going to clean up the CBI too and Dr Shabibi will be back as the governor of the CBI to continue his original plan as they are almost now back on track.
8-31-2015 Newshound Guru Aggiedad77 …we see that Dr. S [Shabibi] is wanting his name cleared from the false accusations made against him by the previous administration…the Iraqi government continues to lean on and play ball with the US which I am sure does not bode well with the Iranians who were already riled up at being rebuffed last week by PM Abadi and the religious clerics…Seems that the COM is muddying the waters for any attempts by Maliki or the other VP’s to re-enter Parliament…and we have the three big boys…President Masum, PM Abadi, and Speaker Jubouri all meeting today to discuss reforms and whatever else they get the urge to bring up…oh and the Investment Law sounds like it might be ready to be teed up today…we shall see…And don’t forget about the Anti-Money Laundering Law…where and when will it surface in Parliament…the clock is ticking.
