It has already been stated by a few, this is no slam dunk. To many corrupt Iraqis would prefer to keep stealing over the passage of this. It will be interesting to see how it is received in parliament.

WE’RE SEEING HIS “WORK” COMING BACK TO HAUNT HIM. IT’S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME NOW. WE’RE FINALLY GOING TO SEE SOME DESERVING PEOPLE, PROSECUTED. [IYO are these legal issues a prerequisite for our mutual goal concerning the IQD? Is this one of the stability issues that Dr. S. [Shabibi] needs for complete economical reforms?] ALL I CAN SAY…IS THAT IF THE CORRUPT ARE NOT PROSECUTED, THEN HOW CAN INTEGRITY LAWS BE ENFORCED HENCEFORTH? 7-3-2015 Newshound Guru Kaperoni I will just say this when it comes to a LOP. A redenomination is a last resort, it is a sign of failed economic and monetary policy. Iraq though in tough times, has not failed. …most of the worlds currencies float and Iraq will also when the time is right.
7-3-2015 Newshound Guru wmawhite …do you remember all of those “trade agreements” that Iraq has been signing over the past couple of years? Those trade agreements are with countries…and those countries are similar to customers to Iraq and Iraq is similar to a customer to those countries. So think…trade…with over twenty (20) different countries that have different currencies. When Iraq introduces the IQD to the world currencies markets, these are some of the first countries that will start conducting international commerce with Iraq and the Iraqi Dinar.

I DONT THINK THEY HAVE TO REVALUE BEFORE THE CREDIT RATING BUT I WOULD THINK THE REFORM PLANS AND REVENUE EXPECTATIONS ETC WOULD BE RELEASED FOR THE RATING THOUGH OR AT LEAST THE SCHEDULE TO PAY ALL DEBTS.

[I think EID would be a great time for the Iraqi citizens to receive their share of the oil revenue!] Was asked Monday if i feel 2015 is our year. Don’t know…But do know this is the FIRST time we see the HCL in its full statuesque form on the operating table…THE FIRST YEAR EVER!
