6-26-2015 Newshound Guru Aggiedad77 Article: “The central bank’s “Tomorrow Press:” the project to delete the zeros will be applied beginning of the year 2017″ This kind of slowdown does not make much sense…but study the words carefully, I can take this article to mean that the “process” of removal of the 000’s has begun and will be completed in 2017…they have told us before it could be a 2 year process…they speak of making the Iraqi currency a competitor of foreign currency…then do it now…why wait…today makes more sense than 2 years from now…AND…don’t forget the GREEN light that the CBI was given earlier this year…

6-26-2015 Newshound Guru Kaperoni i am interested to see what parliament does the next 2-3 months…they announced…they have 150 laws that have been read twice and ready to pass. I remember articles back in Nov 2014 saying January 2015 we pass lots of economic laws…unfortunately, the timeframes and dates provided in news is not accurate. I don’t think it intentional, just with a new government, it’s hard to know how much time it takes. But I am hopeful the next few months we get several economic laws passed. There does seem to be some sense of a plan to create an economy with tariffs…laws…the small business loans, etc. One cannot say they are not trying to jump start a market economy. Hopefully it will not get derailed. Another meeting this weekend…Think Sat…open to public to talk dinar…we should get some news on it in media…usually they do when they are public forums.

[where does this leave with the CBI since the person in the CBI was appointed by Maliki.] HE IS PROXY AND IT HAS BEEN MADE CLEAR THAT THE PLAN IS OF COURSE TO HAVE APPOINTED GOVERNOR…IT IS A POSITION. [How will this effect the Maliki supporters who are still in the CBI?] THIS WILL NOT IMPACT THE ECONOMICS OF IRAQ…THIS WILL IMPROVE THE MESS OF IRAQ IMO.

The PM and GOI will need to cooperate with this.

I expect it! I believe everything needed will happen all at one time … Maliki issue included!

6-25-2015 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG It appears to me, since the upper leadership of the SLC can’t manage to rid Iraq of Maliki the ICC (International Criminal Courts) is going ahead with doing it for them. Major News feeds starting to carry this piece. won’t that take a lot of time to complete. as an associated issue – “with his top aides” MEANS Ali al-Allaq is TOAST…no need to remove him when the ICC is on the way…AND Fuad Massoum came out today talking about replacing him anyway. As Allaq was Maliki’s Sec Gen of his CoM for 7-8 years I cannot imagine a scenario he isn’t scorched with Maliki in this one. solves our major obstacle… so you see – I could care less what Allaq has to say about starting the “project” in 2017…he’s a goneeeeeeeeeeeeer.

6-25-2015 Newshound Guru Aggiedad77 Article: “National Investment: amendment of the Investment Law which many privileges to the investor” The amendments that are being worked into the Investment Law…if approved…will be a boon for investors so the story goes…they have been working on ways to eliminate red tape and push corruption completely to the side…hopefully their plans are coming together to make such actions so…providing protections for investors…and guarantees for both sides, something quite unusual for Iraq…they say to look for this to come to a vote early next session…will be watching for it for sure.

DON’T FORGET CITI BANK IS THERE, MIDDLE EASTERN BANKS ARE ALSO IN IRAQ AND THE CBI JUST ANNOUNCED THAT IT ARRANGED FOR A CURRENCY EXCHANGE RATE WITH BANKS UNION BETWEEN USD-IQD. THE IRAQI GOV. SAID THEY WOULD ANNOUNCE THE CREDIT RATING IN JULY AND THEY ARE ABOUT TO ISSUE INTERNATIONAL BONDS.

6-25-2015 Newshound Guru My Ladies IRAQ HAS VERY MUCH TO DO IN THEIR COUNTRY…THEY HAVE TO BUILD, THEY HAVE TO PRINT NEW CURRENCY, THEY HAVE TO GET ELECTRICITY, THEY HAVE TO ADD NOTES TO THEIR CURRENT CURRENCY THEY HAVE TO GET THE ELECTRONIC BANKING SYSTEM WORKING… (whew) THEY HAVE SO MUCH TO DO STILL. BUT NO MATTER WHAT IS HAPPENING OR NOT HAPPENING IN IRAQ WILL NOT MATTER. THE ONLY THING THAT WILL MATTER IS THAT IRAQ WILL HAVE THE SAME ABILITY TO CONNECT TO THE NEW BANKING SYSTEM AND WHEN THEY DECIDE TO CROSS BORDERS THEY WILL HAVE TO DO IT ACCORDING TO INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS.
