Witnesses said Tuesday that gunmen, believed to belong to the organization of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant “Daash”, attacked a number of banks, the city of Mosul, and seized on what the funds. The witnesses said that “armed, attacked on Tuesday morning, many government and private banks in the city of Mosul”, stressing that they had seen “vans transporting bags full of Iraqi dinar currency from the banks.” Declared the governor of Nineveh, Ethel Nujaifi, on Tuesday, the fall of the entire city of Mosul in the hands of insurgents.
