The leader of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Uday Al-Khadran, confirmed, on Monday, that the first files of the next government will be the expulsion of US forces from the country.
Al-Khadran said in a press interview, “The expulsion of US forces from Iraq is an absolute priority in the country’s public security scene, and it cannot be retracted, and it cannot be a secondary file even if the government changes after the October elections.”
He added, “The first files of the next government are the removal of the American forces according to the known timetables,” stressing that “there is no complacency in this context, because its presence does not serve the security and stability of the country, as it stands behind anyone who would disturb the calm.”
He pointed out that “regardless of the results of the elections and the formation of the government and the rest of the files, the expulsion of the US forces remains a fixed axis that we will not retreat from or complacency.”
It is noteworthy that the exit of the US forces is a popular demand and there is a parliamentary resolution supporting this trend.
