The Parliamentary Finance Committee discussed on Thursday the total public debt and loans included in the 2027 budget. In a statement received by Al-Maalomah News Agency, the committee said, “The committee discussed with the Director General of the Public Debt Department a number of files related to public debt and loans included in the draft federal budget law for the fiscal year 2027.” The statement added, “The committee discussed the total internal and external public debt, the total sovereign and non-sovereign guarantees granted, as well as the internal and external loans included in the draft budget law.”
It noted that “the discussions addressed the details of the loans and guarantees included in the draft budget, the size of internal and external financial obligations, and a review of the overall debt and borrowing situation within the 2027 budget.”
