6-8-2014 Newshound Guru Kaperoni Article: “The provincial government plans to issue currency in cash to complete the steps to secede from Iraq” Quote: “The process of issuing its own currency province of Kurdistan has been the subject of discussion in the parliament session, which was held last Wednesday…” It could be a bluff to get the oil agreement done and new goi formed. Clearly, the Kurds are frustrated for whatever the reasons…they are being held back for years.

6-8-2014 Newshound Guru Kaperoni I think everyone who is invested in the dinar has seen how the Kurdistan region has flourished. They did things right from the beginning back in 2003 setting security in place and building from there. They are years ahead of the rest of Iraq…issues between the central government and Kurdish region have gotten worse of late, not better. Let’s hope for all of us this is a bluff and motivation to get some sort of agreement on oil done soon, a new central government formed and the goal…economic transition to a market economy. 6-6-2014 Newshound Guru Kaperoni the world has been trying to push Iraq forward for 10 years. They move at their pace and have little regard for their people. Just a few short months ago, we were literally 3-5 days away (parliament voting) on passing the budget and several economic laws which would have opened the doors to a market economy. Now we have the dispute between the Kurds and central government which shut down parliament indefinitely, no formation of the new GOI, escalating violence, increasing unemployment, no budget so many projects coming to a halt..its getting worse, not better. I am not saying the “sky is falling” but how can anyone think that the currency reform is going to start under those conditions? Yes, the banking system continues to push forward, and it appears the CBI is trying to do it’s part. But I cannot see this happening until significant progress is made to resolve these other issues. He has always said he is the only one for PM and only he is the one that can do the job. By starting this talk he is creating doubt in the other blocks solidarity and one by one they tend to lean back to him as time passes and delays become an issue. [Are they still waiting to see who the next PM will be before RVing?] i have not seen that they are waiting for the PM to be named for anything economical…i dont see that they are waiting for anything in ink — i dont even see according to the statement by the gov of CBI, Turki that they are waiting on the budget so without anything in ink or by press statement — i cant say that they are waiting on anything…we dont have the date but they seem to be saying that they are working on moving iraq to a market economy. 6-1-2014 Intel Guru TD I’m told there’s much to sort out & put in place with the new government. Key positions of political players being fought over. The Kurds are waiting to see if coalition power will be in their best interests. They have expressed to everyone that they are in a “wait & see” mode and only THEY will decide the best interests of their future. Coupled with this is Parliament who also has various laws still to enact to move the country into a market driven, international platform of investment & trade.

While the CBI is autonomous in theory, there is inter dependance among the executive & legislative branches. Don’t be surprised to see announcements regarding deletion of the zeros project, IMF & WTO compliance issues, international capital & investment banking reforms as targets of programs to roll out in 2015. This is Iraq and a snails pace of “things to do” hasn’t changed one bit. 5-30-2014 Intel/Newshound Guru Poppy3 all new is good news — THINGS WHERE EXPLAINED TO ME TODAY about the 13303 being extended on the 22nd was decided to happen two weeks prior to the deadline. It was conveyed to Obama and the administration that under the 13303 law as written the banks and the IRAQ CBI would never be admitted to the WTO as FULL MEMBER BECAUSE THE law AS written would prevent all word banks, including the USA banks, from being able to trade with IRAQ and would prevent any DINAR exchanges. Immediately they started writing an amendment to the LAW and when they didn’t get it completed in time they then had to extend it until the amendment was complete…at which time Obama signed an executive order to put it immediately into law so the BANKS COULD MOVE FORWARD. 5-29-2014 Newshound Guru wmawhite OFAC [Office of Foreign Assets Control] acts under Presidential national emergency powers, as well as authority granted by specific legislation, to impose controls on transactions and freeze assets under US jurisdiction. Now it was OFAC that published the amendment to EO 13303. Therefore, the assets of the CBI are no longer under sanctions within the USA. The importance here is that if OFAC prohibits a country, our banks are unable to do business with that country. Now, OFAC is stating that all sanctions are lifted as to the CBI. [so the sanctions being lifted means our banks can now deal with Iraqi dinar?] if a bank chooses to do so. [it seems this was a big issue to overcome to see MR occur for this country? 5-28-2014 Newshound Guru Kaperoni Executive Order: “Ending Immunities Granted To The Development Fund For Iraq And Certain Other Iraqi Property And Interests In Property Pursuant To Executive Order 13303, As Amended” The way I see it, Obama never extended the protection of the DFI on May 19th, he only extended the “national emergency” in regards to Iraq (which never needed extension). This news today confirms the “national emergency” is still in place, yet the funds under the DFI are no longer protected. He is giving them control of their money and it will be up to Iraq to resolve any remaining debt issues or lawsuits will commence. One can make a reasonable assumption that giving them their money (DFI), and the liability that goes with it, as a push to stand up and engage with the world financial system which includes the dinar. American Contractor has not seen these banknotes personally, but my sources tell me that there has indeed been some distributed and in circulation. …I would just like to mention that there are [some] that have said that Prime Minister Nuri Maliki does NOT want to change the Iraq dinar currency. This is bogus, unsubstantiated reporting. In fact, this couldn’t be further from the truth. If it is indeed true that the new currency IS in circulation that would indicate proof that PM Maliki is actually RESPONSIBLE for its release…he is actually all for economic development in Iraq.
