Political source revealed early Friday for a secret visit conducted by former Finance Minister Rafie al-Issawi accused of terrorism and the former governor of Nineveh Ethel Nujaifi to Washington DC to announce the “Sunni region in Iraq.”
The source said in a press statement that “Sunni figures arrived a few days ago in Washington, led by Rafie al-Issawi and Ethel Nujaifi,” pointing out that “it comes to the purpose of the Declaration of the Sunni region in accordance with what has been planned with the tribal figures to support their way.”
The source, who requested anonymity, that “the coming days will be in al-Faisal resolve the issue, whether to accept Washington dividing Iraq or rejection of the project.”
