The head of the Jihad and Construction Movement, Jawad Rahim al-Saadi, confirmed, on Tuesday, that the Iraqi government has pressure cards that it can invest in to confront the American pressures that Washington is exerting against it, pointing out that the American administration is working to create problems in order to maintain the presence of its forces inside Iraq.
Al-Saadi told Al-Maalouma, “There are many opponents who have a strong will to stand up to the American plans, as they work to thwart its plans aimed at harming the Iraqi people and their government, at a time when Iraq has many pressure cards against Washington.”
He added, “America owes its survival in Iraq through some pretexts and arguments, as it moves its arms towards fabricating crises and inciting the people against the government, at a time when the government can move its cards to put pressure on the American side in a number of economic and security files.”
And he indicated that “America sought to exploit the people to create a problem with the government, with the aim of placing the executive authority in an embarrassing situation in front of the people, and to exploit this loophole to continue implementing its plans inside Iraq, as it lives on fabricating problems.”
