SpaceX launched the Crew Dragon spacecraft as part of the private crewed Fram2 mission, which will fly a civilian crew to polar orbit for the first time.
According to the company, the vehicle’s crew consists of four people: businessman Chun Wang (Malta), film director Janneke Mikkelsen (Norway), robotics specialist Rabia Ruge (Germany), and professional traveler Eric Phillips (Australia).
The mission will last between three and five days, during which the team will conduct a series of scientific tests, including an X-ray study in space, a series of exercises to study the preservation of muscle and bone mass, and an experiment to grow mushrooms in microgravity.
