He parliamentary legal committee member Salim Chawki that the next legislative term holiday will start only after the adoption of the budget.
Shawki said, “This is a chapter in the end and that prevents the end of the day 01.01.2017 is an issue where the budget is not permitted to go to the legislative term holiday until after the adoption of the budget.”
He added that “there will not be important laws include the agenda of the meeting, but will be carried over to the next legislative term because of the proximity of legislative recess.
The board of the Presidency of the Council of Representatives decided on Saturday to postpone the vote on the draft general budget of the Federal Republic of Iraq for fiscal year 2017 submitted by the Finance Committee in order to allow them to mature the budget.
