Today, Sunday, the former representative of the State of Law coalition, Jassem Al-Bayati, considered the Sadrist movement’s initiative and handing over the prime ministership to independent representatives as a “taste” to drag them to attend the presidential selection session, while stressing that the draft coordination framework is very different from the Sadr project.
Al-Bayati said in an interview with the Information Agency, “The specifications set by the framework in choosing the prime minister through the points mentioned in his latest initiative are many, but the most prominent of them is that he be a seasoned and efficient politician with a known political history, and this thing is only present with a few politicians present on the Iraqi arena “.
He added, “The coordination does not impose that the prime minister be from the independent representatives exclusively, but rather asks them to present their candidate, in addition to the candidate of the Sadrist movement, and the candidate of the third framework, and then one of them is agreed upon.”
He pointed out, “The draft framework is not the same as the draft of the Sadrist movement. Al-Sadr shows that he may hand over the prime ministership to independent deputies, provided that 40 deputies meet together, which may not be applicable and implemented.”
The representative of State of Law explained that “the purpose behind the Sadrist movement’s recent initiative is to attract independent representatives to attend the parliament and elect the president of the republic,” noting that “after that, the majority will be in the hands of the tripartite alliance and they do what they do in choosing the president of the republic as well as the ministers.”
Al-Bayati continued, “The framework presented a method that may be more effective in choosing the prime minister by presenting a candidate who competes with the other three candidates or may be more, and agree on the ideal personality among them to head the position of minister,” stressing that “Al-Sadr’s initiative is just a bait and an attempt to drag the independents to choose President of the Republic.” Ended / 25 ر
